Guide

How often should I test my chatbot?

Short answerTest after every change to the chatbot’s content or settings, after every change to your prices or policies, and on a regular schedule in between. The vendors’ own guides recommend testing again after updates.

Always re-test after

  • You add, edit or remove help articles or data sources.
  • You change prices, returns, delivery or opening hours.
  • Your chatbot vendor releases a new model or feature you switch on.

Why a schedule helps

Tidio advises reviewing conversations and testing again after you update Lyro’s knowledge, and Intercom lets you save batch-test groups to track changes over time. A schedule catches changes you didn’t make yourself. AnswerTested’s paid plans (proposed) test daily. See pricing.

Check the rest of your site too

A chatbot test doesn’t tell you if your signup or checkout page has stopped working. If your site was built with an AI tool such as Lovable, Bolt or Cursor, Heedza checks those pages in a real browser and emails you if one breaks. More: monitoring a chatbot and the site around it.
