AI chatbot testing tools compared: prices and features (2026)
Short answerChatbot testing tools split into two groups. Tools for small businesses and agencies (AnswerTested, ProofMyAI, BotEffex, UserPersona, BotAudit) start at about $19 to $29 a month. BadBots (from $97 a month) serves GoHighLevel agencies, and UndercoverAgent sells a $500-a-week written brief. Tools for engineering and voice AI teams (Coval, Cekura, Hamming, Assure Agent, Checkpoint, Botium) start at $100 a month, charge by usage or ask you to contact sales. Prices and features below are as listed on each tool’s own site, checked on 22 Oct 2026.
How we compared
We read each tool’s public pricing or home page on 22 Oct 2026 and wrote down the listed prices and the main ways it tests. We did not sign up for or test the tools. Prices change often, so check the linked page before you buy. Where a page shows no price, we say so. AnswerTested is our own product; we list where other tools do more, too.

What is the cheapest AI chatbot testing tool?
As listed on their sites on 22 Oct 2026: AnswerTested’s first test is free, ProofMyAI is free for 50 conversations a month, UserPersona is free for 20 conversations, and BotEffex Monitor is €19 a month for 10 daily questions.
Which chatbot testing tools work without setup?
AnswerTested only needs your website address. ProofMyAI also lets you paste a bot URL, and Assure Agent calls a public chat endpoint or phone number. Most other tools need a chat export, an API endpoint or an integration.
Which tools check the EU AI Act chatbot disclosure?
AnswerTested checks in every test whether the chatbot says it is an AI (Article 50). UndercoverAgent lists an article-mapped EU AI Act evidence export. None of the other pages we read on 22 Oct 2026 list an Article 50 check. This is not legal advice.
Which tools test voice agents?
Coval, Cekura, Hamming, Assure Agent and Cyara Botium list voice testing. AnswerTested tests website chat widgets; phone receptionist testing is coming soon.
